I thought I’d interview Kiddo, just for the fun of it. To see how he would react and give everyone a glimpse into who he is. The more questions I asked him, the more giggly he got. By the end, he could barely stop laughing long enough for me to get a photo. It was a fun, silly time. I hope you enjoy. 🙂
Hey Seth, can I interview you?
Yeah! Yes, Mommy!
Do you know what an interview is?
So tell me what it is.
Ah. Um, I forgot.
(Smiling.) An interview is where I ask you a bunch of questions and you answer them.
Oh yes. I remember.
(Smiling still.) That’s good. So can we start now?
How old are you, Seth?
What grade are you in?
Do you like school?
(Nodding while saying.) Yes.
What is your favorite thing to do at school?
Hmmm. (Thinking. Says something I don’t understand. Something with the word ‘teacher’ in it.)
Um. Math? Art. Gym. Lunch.
I know you do all of that at school but what is your favorite thing at school?
OH! OK. Um. Lunch. (Any other day of the week he would have said Computer. I know because I ask him every day and he says Computer. Every. Single. Day.)
(Smiling.) OK. What do you like to eat for lunch?
Um… I can’t remember! Chili Dogs?
No, Seth. I didn’t ask what the kids ate at school today. I asked what is YOUR favorite thing to eat for lunch.
Wow. (Giggles) OK. Um. OK. (He’s playing now.) Chili Dogs? (He orders a hamburger and fry any time he’s allowed to eat school lunch.)
OK. (Changing the subject.) What is your favorite color?
Hmm. Black. I’m a (insert a certain local college football team name here) fan!
You are? (Um, since when??! That’s the RIVAL team!)
Yeah! I love football! Exciting!
Ok Silly. What do you like to do for fun?
Fun? I like play Xbox.
What do you like to play on the Xbox?
Bike. Ride bike game. (Motorcycle game.)
You don’t like Minecraft anymore?
No. No. Um yes! But I like bike game. I got award!
That’s great! Good job! What places do you go during the week?
I don’t know.
Do you go to school?
Yes. School and church and boys home and children s home (local orphan and foster ministry we are involved in). All kind of homes. And skate. And race. That’s it.
Um. When we skate.
Ah. Ok. Thank you for letting Mommy interview you.
OK. Because I love you. I love you Mommy. You are my heart.
I love you too, Seth. Can I take your picture for my Blog?
Wow. Yes. (He’s confused.)
Mommy’s a blogger now.
(Laughing), Mommy you’re silly!
You are a bonkers!
(Now I’m laughing.) Not bonkers you silly boy, a Blogger!
